    This session is being provided as an opportunity for TAs/TFs to share their experiences and get advice from their peers. The session is open to anyone currently serving as a TA or TF at HMS and will be lightly structured to support effective sharing of ideas.     This session will provide a short introduction to critical aspects of being a TA or TF, with a particular focus on how these must be adapted for online teaching. Topics include how to prepare for your first class to help define your role and boundaries, how to create an equitable classroom environment, and how to handle common challenges.     How can I adapt the assignments or assessments I used to do in person for online learning? (Topic Specific Office Hour)

    Some assignments and assessments that work very well when students are face-to-face, like presentations and boardwork, don't translate well to online learning environments. Despite that challenge there are many approaches that work just as well or even better in a remote course. Once you consider the goals of your assessment, adapting your in-person assignment can be very straightforward.
