### CFP/RISE Meeting on Science Education

Madhvi Venkatesh, PhD *Curriculum Fellow, Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology* Experimental design and science communication are often cited as essential skills for trainees in the sciences, but they are not uniformly taught or assessed across graduate or undergraduate curricula. In this seminar, we will describe our strategies for embedding training in experimental design and scientific presentation in our graduate *Principles of Molecular Biology* course. We will also discuss the ways in which we are assessing changes in self-efficacy and student performance in these skills.
