Some assignments and assessments that work very well when students are face-to-face, like presentations and boardwork, don't translate well to online learning environments. Despite that challenge there are many approaches that work just as well or even better in a remote course. Once you consider the goals of your assessment, adapting your in-person assignment can be very straightforward.
