About: This presentation will consider the notion of reparative humanism. We will examine the cyclical nature of trauma and reflect on the things that trauma takes us away from–including our humanity–and the things healing from trauma requires that we should not shy away from–in order to re-embrace our human wholeness. Participants will be invited to rethink higher education’s role in shaping the future. Not merely our intellectual or economic future, but also our moral and spiritual future.
